The name Aqeeq draws inspiration from the revered Yemeni gemstone known for its beauty, rarity, and spiritual value. Found in the mountains of Yemen, the stone is celebrated across cultures for symbolizing strength, protection, and success. It’s a treasure that carries centuries of tradition — and much like the gemstone, our coffee tells a story of origin, craft, and uniqueness.

From the historic highlands of Haraz, Yemen, comes another rarity — the Peaberry coffee bean. Unlike regular coffee beans, which grow in pairs, a peaberry forms when only one seed develops inside the cherry. This natural mutation results in a smaller, rounder bean packed with concentrated flavor. Peaberries are scarce — typically making up just 5–10% of a harvest — and must be carefully hand-sorted to separate them from regular beans.

This meticulous process is worth every step. The result is a cup that’s vibrant, sweet, and nuanced — with tasting notes of sugarcane, berry, and light citrus. The elevated altitude of 1800–2200 MASL, combined with traditional sun-drying methods, imparts complexity and clarity that reflect Yemen’s ancient coffee heritage.
